Camp is held at the Gillies Bay Airport at https://maps.app.goo.gl/UwJssJ8cusjFnzde8, as shown in the first picture. Paved Airport Road is the main route there but the gravel Cranby Lake Road also goes there. If you're coming from areas south of the Community Hall you'll automatically take the paved road.

If you're coming from areas north of Gillies Bay, unless you're familiar with the island we suggest travelling the extra 2 min along the highway as shown in the second picture, until you get to Gillies Bay. As you reach Gillies Bay, you'll see the Community Hall up ahead on your left, and BEFORE THE HALL there is a SHARP right hand turn onto Airport Road. Please note that Cranby Lake Road is very dusty and also an active logging road at this time.

 

Feel free to park anywhere shown in red in the first picture (NOTE: on the side of the road please watch out for rocks and big branches, and be sure to park OFF the road).

 

ON FOOT you then follow the green dashed line on the map from Airport Road. Parking can also be found inside the marked with a red square. In that case, you go around the caretaker cottage to your left and follow the alternate green dashed path shown on the map. There will be volunteers in high visibility vests to help guide you.

 

Please take note the gravel road in front of the hangar is actually a taxiway for planes from other hangars. Youth are given an intro to that as well.

 

If you park on Airport Road, when leaving the area after drop off you can drive up to the roundabout shown with a yellow arrow at the junction of Cranby Lake Road and Airport Road, and return by the blue dashed lines back towards Gillies Bay.
